USSSA Membership Update

To our USSSA Members, Parents, and Athletes:

The 2022 season is upon us, and with it comes a tremendous amount of interest. As we begin to plan for one of our biggest seasons yet, we have decided to reevaluate recent updates to our membership platform.

After much consideration, we have decided that it is in the best interest of our athletes, teams, coaches, and members to postpone the deployment of GotSport for baseball, basketball, and fastpitch.

All team sports will continue to use USSSA’s current system, accessed via USSSA.com. While we work to strengthen our partnership with GotSport, members will be able to maintain use of our association’s current software.

Those who have already registered and paid dues via GotSport can rest assured that all payment and registration information will be transferred over to the USSSA system in a timely manner. This includes all membership dues, as well as team fees. 

At USSSA, we are striving to make our games the safest, fairest, and most-equitable they can possibly be. As we continue to push ourselves to the forefront of security and data integrity, we are confident that our relationship with GotSport will one day soon take us to this next level and help launch us further into the modern era.

Our priority remains with preparing our athletes for one of the most anticipated seasons to date. In the meantime, we pledge to do whatever we can as an organization to make the upcoming 2022 season one of our best yet.

We appreciate your cooperation as we work together to get our USSSA community registered. As always, our goal is to develop new strategies with you in mind. We plan to release more information regarding new membership platform updates as the situation evolves.

Impact/Next Steps of this change for My Team/Players

What do I do if I have not registered a 2022 team?

If you have not registered a team for the 2022 season, you would go to USSSA.com to register your team and take your background check. This is the same process as in previous years.

What do I do if I have registered a 2022 team in the GotSport system?

For teams that have already registered with GotSport, teams that have been created will be moved over to the USSSA.com system.  We will transfer your registration and your team.

Will my Roster and players be moved to USSSA.com?  

Rosters will not be transferred and players will need to be added to the roster once your team is registered on USSSA.com.

I did my background check on GotSport but have not registered my team yet.  What do I do?

Your background check will be moved to the USSSA.com system.  Once it is uploaded, you can continue with the registration process.  If you had multiple accounts in USSSA.com please check all of them, we tried to match them up as best we could.  If you login and do not have your background check attached, please email the following to got.sport@usssa.com:

  • Your Name in GotSport System
  • Email Address for GotSport Log-in
  • Your USSSA Log-in (this is your ID #)
  • Your USSSA email address.

Will my insurance purchased in GotSport be transferred to my team in USSSA.com?

Yes, Insurance purchased through GotSport will be assigned to your team in the USSSA.com system.

I entered an event in GotSport, what will happen to my entry?

Any team that entered into an event and/or paid for an event in GotSport will have those entries and payments transferred into the USSSA.com system.

Will the $5 Season Membership be refunded for Coaches and Players?

The $5 GotSport Season Membership fee for individuals will be refunded starting the week of 9/7/21. Please check your credit card statements for the refund.
